The Nagpur plant reduces the incoming waste to almost zero rest waste, does not incinerate, has a large negative carbon footprint, and extremely low emissions (No leachate/water discharge, no water consumption, no air pollution, no odor, no noise). Substantial environmental benefits as no methane offsetting of the waste, producing green gas, producing a compost that creates a carbon sink.
Inspired by the vision of PM Shree Modi and Swachha Bharat Abhiyan, today SusBDe, and Nagpur Municipal Corporation signed the Agreement for the realization of India’s first large scale Compressed BioGas (CBG) plant based on the principles of Dry Anaerobic Badge Digestion in Nagpur.
The plant will process daily 1200 Mt of unsorted Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and convert these into high quality compost, Compressed BioGas (CBG) and valuable recyclables. The plant will be contributing directly to the green energy vision of Cabinet Minister Shree Nitin Gadkari here in his hometown Nagpur.
Supported also by our JV partner Ashmi Road Carriers Pvt. Ltd. and the personal commitment by Mr. Pyare Khan made this project locally feasible.
